Ben and I are still in Young Mens and Young Womens. We love our callings, and things are going pretty well. Ben is getting some more young men soon, and we just had a baptism for a new young women. She's 18, but is still in high school. Her story is so interesting. She was publicly excommunicated from the Jehovah's Witness church after she enlisted in the Navy. She knows so much about the scriptures. and takes copious notes during all the meetings on Sunday.
I'm so excited for spring to arrive. There is still a chance it could snow more this year (like it snowed Mothers Day last year), but we've gotten some 70+ degree days that have been wonderful. We have some garden boxes, and I'm looking forward to testing out some veggies and flowers in them. In the photo, you can see my dead boxwood bushes and the sad brown arborvitae. I need to insert some color in the yard.
We sold our green couch, and bought this sectional the other day. I love it! I was worried that even with the measurements we took, it would feel too big for our little living room. To my surprise, it makes the space feel bigger. And I feel like I can take the colors and design in the direction I've always wanted.
We are waiting to hear back from two of the school in our area for preschool this fall. Letters/ emails should be sent out this week. I have a few friends who have already heard back. Fingers crossed James gets into Highpoint Academy. It's the charter school that has preschool 2 days a week, half day.
So come visit us! We'll go on some hikes, visit downtown, and play in the water if it's warm enough!
Good to see your update. Glad things are going well!
