Kelly wanted a day to day of my Whole 30. Well, I probably wont do a post all 30 days, I do have a life ya know :) but I will keep you updated on the happenings.
When I signed up, I put down that March 17th would be my official start date. Well, we were busy around here with Mom in the hospital and our regular Saturday chores that I didn't get around to the Whole 30 prep work I wanted to do.
Namely:
- clean out the fridge of all non-paleo stuff
- meal plan breakfast and lunch (I will still use my Fresh 20 for dinners, just make a few changes so it's Whole 30 approved)
- grocery shop
Already, there are things I've learned. I learned that I need the book for recipes and ideas of what food to buy. They have a huge list of recipes in the book for all 3 meals of the day. I turned my book into the library a week ago. Make sure you have it while you do your Whole 30! Every day you get a email with tips and encouragement. So I will just be a day behind my emails. That's okay.
From my first email:
What She Ate for 30 Days (a picture of every meal for 30 days)
Plan for Today (after church)
- eat food not Whole 30 approved (it's hard to throw good food out)
- clean out kitchen (who wants my BBQ sauces and bread?)
- meal plan
- write out grocery list (check Fresh 20 dinners for any adjustments)
Plan for Tomorrow:
- double check meal plan (have quick recipes for busy mornings and lunches)
- grocery shop with James
- Put together easy and transportable breakfasts for Ben (he eats oatmeal 365 days a year. hard habit to break)
