New Life

We really like Enid. Its a wonderful community and a nice part of the country. Yes, its lacking in trees and mountains, but you hardly notice. James and I go out and visit new places every day. We have to because our temporary housing is so small we would go crazy. We've visited almost all the grpcery stores, gone to some playdates, and today is storytime at the library.

The ward here is friendly. James went to nursery and neither Ben or I had to stay with him. I'm am shocked! He's never been to nursery alone, and in a new ward no less. We also had dinner with the Redd family. Bro. Redd is one of the counselors in the bishopric. Awesome family. They have 4 boys and 1 girl. James was in heaven. And Ben talked with the other guests who are also AF and Bro. Redd who is a head chemical engineer for a large company here. Sis. Redd told me about the Relief Society zumba class and weekly book club.

Still no improvement on housing. We're trying to decide how long we can wait in the temporary housing before we need to move out. I really want to live on the base, but if our number doesn't come up then we need to live off base.

  1. Sounds like you are acclimating and somewhat settling in, even without a permanent home. That's the best way to do it! Did you find your fave grocery stores?
