I love the study of politics and education. This video basically outlines my view on education that I've had for years. Malcolm Gladwell also speaks on education in an interview. He makes a strong point. Both videos raise the question, Why do you group kids in school this way? And why do we group them by their supposed skills? Oh, these kids are math kids, and these kids are good at chemistry. We tell kids what their good at while they are young, and then their desire to do anything else diminishes. No wonder I hated chemistry in high school, I thought that since I wasn't particularly good at it, I was never going to be able to learn the material.
