It's Becoming Real!

My Valentines weekend was amazingly fun this year. Friday was busy with errands and later that night the start of the Olympics. I would have liked to watch the opening ceremonies, but Jessie and I drove together to our ward dance. That was super fun. The dress was anywhere from Sunday dress to formal. I just wore a regular Sunday outfit and got down with my roomie. We love 30 Rock and always dance like Liz Lemon. We couldn't help waving our hands and saying  "it's becoming real!" Just to give you a little flavor or Lemon dancing... this is exactly the scene I am referring to and it took me forever to find on youtube.

After the dance a group of us went out to Sharies for a late night bite, then I went home and watched the last 5 minutes of the opening ceremonies. Sorry Canada, I'm not impressed by the slow motion rock pillar torch thing.

So on Saturday I stayed in bed reading until about 2 and then I started getting ready for babysitting. I've babysat for the Halsey's since I was Mrs. Halsey's teacher aide sophomore year of high school. I've really known her since I was a freshman and took her literature class. I've really gotten to know the family. So for Valentines Day the family gave me three roses. So nice of them to do that, but at the same time I was thinking "do you think because I'm babysitting on Valentines that I need pity roses?" I'm aware that was not the reason.

I also finished The Hunger Games today, but unfortunately I am number 19 on the waiting list for the next book. At least that should force me to read my textbooks instead of other books.  Then again, I am number 2 and 3 in the other books I requested so maybe I can postpone school for another week.... It's only my GPA right? No really, I'm doing fine in all my classes, no need to worry.

Another week is planned. I've got work, school and volunteering every day and then on Friday I have a meeting for Women's Conference and then I'm getting a hair cut. I'm going to tell the stylist to use their artistic license and do whatever they feel would look best. I'm so excited!
