School is killing me. Math is so much better now that I found someone to help me out. One of my friends is a math major, so I've been turning to him for some help. So now it's the writing class that is the cause of so much grief. We've been working on our final project for about a week now. I am to write a business proposal. So instead of writing a business plan for a completely new company, I decided to do one for one I am familiar with. I'm proposing an additional location to OSU Federal Credit Union. It's been a tough project. All of the information I want is not accessible to me. sure I can look up the demographics of the proposed location, but I really need to know if those demographics are the same as average customers. For example, what percentage of customers are OSU students? That information is nowhere to be found. My teacher emailed me last night saying my project thus far looked good and how she was exciting to see the next section of it. Yikes. She's referring to the project outline, which required no research whatsoever. The actual essay is turning out to be more difficult. But I'm sure I can pull through. I think I can turn this into more of a persuasive essay, instead of only informative.
So I don't know if the news has made the usual rounds yet, but a new boy may be in the picture. He has only been back from his mission for 5 months. After hanging out at the institute, he asked me on a date. I was very surprised, especially after beating him at a game of ping pong, I didn't think we would be interested.;)He took me to his parents house and we watched the third Indian Jones movie, which I had never seen. It was a very low stress date. No awkward silences, and we each had our own recliner so no "how close do I sit" moments. So then a couple days later he asks me to go to the zoo with him and some friends on Saturday, but I had to babysit all stinking day. I really wanted to go, so I called him up the next day and asked him out for that Friday. The plan was to grab hot cider, talk a while, then go to a church activity together. We ended up missing the activity because we just stayed and talked for 2-3 hours. So all this is great, right? Una problema. He just moved today to Utah. He is going to the LDS Business College. But we talked for a while in the parking lot after church and he said as soon as he gets a phone he's going to call, and he wants me to visit him out in Utah. Whoa there! Two dates and we're already making plans to visit each other. If the opportunity comes I probably will go out and visit. I've always wanted to go to Utah any way, I feel like I'm the only Mormon who hasn't been there. So yeah, that's the news. His friend told me that he was way bummed he was moving. Aw, cute. So we'll just see how things turn out.
There's snow on the hills already. Hooray! I hope we get some in the valley as well. I need to dust off my snowboard and actually use it this year. I've got a few friends who ski and snowboard, so hopefully some plans can be made to make a trip up to the mountains.
