Ben is doing his first T-6 solo flight on Friday. I will be there to see him off and later his classmates will dunk him in the "solo tank." He just needs to pass one last flight! He is over his airsickness and feeling more comfortable with the controls of the aircraft.
I have become a board member of the OSC (Officer Spouse Club). My position is Publicity/ Reservations. I make all the announcements about upcoming spouse socials and also keep track of who has RSVP'ed and also paid if there is a charge for the event. Just had my first board meeting last night, so I'm still learning the ropes, but I think it will be a good experience.
Ben and I are Bear Leader's in Cub Scouts. It mostly falls on me because Ben can't always be there. I requested that we have another leader called, and she will be sustained on Sunday. We also just got a new Cub Master, so no one really knows what they are supposed to be doing. I'm hoping things get on a more regular schedule with school starting in a few weeks.
James just keeps on growing. He is still around 95% for height, but leveling off around 75% for weight. So we are slowly watching him turn from a chubby baby to a long and slim little boy. He is obsessed with airplanes! He asks nearly every day if we can go to the base to see them fly overhead.
That's about all that's new with us. We still have weekly playgroups and book club, so we're staying real busy and having lots of fun!
