Playing Catch-up

It feels so good to not be in school right now. Ben and I both look at the clock, notice the time, do a loooong sigh of frustration, then stop and realize, NO SCHOOL TOMORROW! We're right in the middle of season 5 of Stargate, and Burn Notice starts again next week, so we've got TV covered. I'm introducing Ben to Malcolm Gladwell and Neil Gaiman for some summer reading, and I've got a few home decor DIY projects in mind. Heather, did you want your buffet table back? If not, than I'm going to paint it. And has anyone ever re-cushioned anything before?

This photo is from a little while ago, at the Air Force Dining Out. It was a pretty fun night, even if we were there for five hours. The food was good, and it was funny to watch the cadets tease each other and drink from the grog. This year the drink consisted of: V8 splash, molasses, pop rocks candy, and applesauce. YUMMY!

I have faced my fear of riding the motorcycle. I have a helmet and a back rest so I feel secure. Now I am pretty excited to ride with Ben, and want to learn to drive the thing myself.
A few other cadets have bikes, and started a little scavenger hunt. Someone takes a picture of their motorcycle at a location, and the other cadets race to find where it is and take a similar photo of their bike at the location. Whoever gets their first is now the one to find a spot.

This is me at Adair Park. We're the winners, so now it's our turn to pick a location.

I decided to get really tricky with the cadets. It requires you to do a little off-road driving, and sometimes the gate is locked.
