I heard this line from a TV show and thought it was clever. Although they were hugely mistaken, in the end it did lead up to some very exciting drama. I've thought about this line several times throughout my dating career. Mostly when I'm annoyed at someone.... obviously. But it's odd how the anger is never directed at that person, its more a feeling of general frustration, "I hate the game, I don't know HOW to play the game." I wish there was more dating advice in the Book of Mormon. "And it came to pass that I Nephi took one of the daughters of Ismael to wife." That's it? Thanks for the advice Nephi. Didn't even take her to the chariot race. But there is a lot in the scriptures about how we treat people with respect, honesty, charity and integrity. That's really all we need.
What else is new with me? Back to work at Dad's office tomorrow. I've also decided to work my way through all the seasons of Gilmore Girls. Along with Burn Notice, 24, Chuck, and Psych (I think Psych is on Netflix Instant Play?). Throw in a few books to read, volunteering, some babysitting for some extra $$, and that's what I'll be up to.
I also need to stop at Comcast to get the box for cable. We've been without for long enough, and I might as well because cable is included in the rent I'm paying. Plus Dar apparently likes to watch the news. And how do I fix TV remotes? Neither our TV remote or DVD player remote will work. Not even the on/off button does anything. And yes, I changed the batteries in both.
Try changing the batteries first.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I was just kidding.
ReplyDeleteNo he wasn't. He's serious. You might have the wrong brand of batteries. Remotes are picky!
ReplyDeleteHow picky can they be? Seriously.
