Listening to Creepy Songs Pays Off

It's taken years for me to learn to appreciate the music that Mom listens to. I few of them I wonder how they ever made it as hit songs in the 80's. I guess that's just it, it was the 80's and it makes sense, a lot of nonsense. One song in particular I gave Mom a lot of smack for because it was just SO CREEPY! You have to wonder what Hall & Oats were smoking when they wrote "Maneater," but "Private Eyes" comes at a close second on the creeper scale. I mean really "private eyes, they're watching you, they see your every move." Does it get more stalker than that? It does, The Police with their song Every Step You Take is the ultimate stalker song. Thankfully, I knew all the lyrics to Private Eyes because it came in handy tonight at FHE. We played Don't Forget the Lyrics: 80's style. Four teams, and you sing along until the music cuts and you have to finish the next line or two. I totally got the chorus, and then some. So thanks mom, for making me listen to your music in the car.

And now I have a huge desire to embrace the crazy 80's. I cannot count how many times I sang this song on Rock Band.

And who can forget the lyrics to this one. Well, my team almost did. the music got cut off right after "don't stop believing" and my entire team pauses and stares at each other..... luckily we got it figured out.

  1. Josh would rock at this game. I would stink.

I think the Glee version of "Don't Stop Believing" is better than Journey's. :-)

  2. Glee's version can never be better than the original. End of story.
